Welcome to Royal City’s official website.

The Royal City Police Department is currently staffed by three officers. We are very committed to keeping our community safe for the citizens that we serve. One of our primary focal points is in traffic safety. Our officers are very proactive in keeping our streets safe by seeking out drivers who are under the influence, who are speeding or driving in a negligent manner.

We are also aware of the need to be visible in our schools and to build a positive rapport with the youth of our community. You will often find one of our officers roaming the halls or the school grounds talking with the students or observing one of the many school activities.

Our goal is to keep Royal City a safe and quiet little town in which to live and raise families, however, this can only be accomplished with the help of the community. We are here to help you, so please feel free to contact me or one of my officers if you have a question, concern or suggestion.

ROYAL CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT:

Chief Darin Smith - Employed by the Royal City Police Department since 1989 and Appointed Chief of Police in 1999.

Officer K Judkins - Employed since Nov, 2008.

Officer R Rodriquez - Employed since June, 2009.

GRANT COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT #10:

The Grant County Fire Department #10 of Royal City, WA, will provide our citizens, businesses, and visitors with the highest level of protection against loss of life and property. We recognize that we are an integral part of the community and cognizant of neighborhood needs and priorities. We are highly trained in all aspects of rescue, emergency medical services, fire prevention and suppression, and the control of other hazardous situations. Sleep well knowing we are always ready to perform our duty of helping others.

GCFD #10 covers over 400 sq. miles using 4 stations and serving the communities of Royal City, Beverly, Smyrna and Schwana. We have two career positions, one being the chief and the other a captain with a support of 30 volunteers.

We are a combination department providing, EMS, Fire and Rescue Services and respond to over 325 calls a year.
